Sets up and operates a variety of Swiss machines to mill and/or turn metallic and nonmetallic work pieces to produce, maintain, or repair parts for customer requirements, applying knowledge of machine shop procedures , a variety of machine-tool setup and operating techniques, metal and plastic properties, and machining methods.  .  To set up and run various machines using the correct speeds, feeds, and tools to assure the machine is operating at its peak performance as well as assuring that the completed work meets all customer requirements.
